HOMICIDE VICTIMS  INFORMATION WANTED

GEOGRAPHICAL AREA: RIVERSIDE, CA

Riverside Police Department Homicide Detectives

Search for Suspect in Recent Hit and Run Death.

Circumstance:

Kylene Davis, 23, was killed by a vehicle in a hit and run accident on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 (at approximately 2:00AM) on Wood Road near King High School. Kylene was riding her BMX bicycle, in the bicycle lane on Wood Rd., on her way home. The family of Kylene Davis is asking for your help to identify the vehicle and/or driver of the vehicle that killed Kylene.

The vehicle was traveling South on Wood Rd, the same direction as Kylene, (towards the Woodcrest, Lake Mathews and Mead Valley area) away from Van Buren Blvd. and apparently hit Kylene from the rear. According to sources after the vehicle hit Kylene the driver did not stop.

Details of the incident are limited and sketchy. We are asking for your help to identify the vehicle and/or person responsible. The vehicle (possibly car or truck) could have sustained damage to its front, front-side, and possibly the windshield. Kylene's bicycle was dragged approximately 40 feet by the vehicle and the vehicle may have sustained damage underneath as well. The driver may possibly be someone who lives in the vicinity of Woodcrest, Lake Mathews or the Mead Valley area or may have been on the way to work, returning home from work or other business towards that direction.
