Colorado Springs…Friends, Neighbors and Church Members have provided an enhanced reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two armed robbers that committed a home invasion robbery at 3985 Broadmoor Valley Road in Colorado Springs. WeTip has provided their standard reward of up to $1,000 and the community has brought the total reward offered to up to $10,000 reward. The robbers are described as two black males in their 20's, six feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds.
On February 19, at around 8 P.M., two masked men with handguns burst into the home when the Father answered the door. The first gunman began pistol whipping him. He valiantly fought back in an effort to protect his wife and 11 year old son. He was able to throw his attacker down the flight of stairs to the basement, but not before he suffered 4 broken ribs, internal injuries, cuts and bruises on his face and body. He is still in the hospital recuperating from his injuries
Meanwhile the second intruder tackled the Mother throwing her to the floor, hitting her head and back against the floor. The Mother was screaming for her son to get out of the house. The boy yelled at the robber to leave his mother alone. The robber told him to shut up. The Mother then again encouraged the boy to get out of the house. At which time the boy ran and the robber let go of the Mother and ran after the boy, who is an award winning gymnast. He ran down a steep set of steps to the golf course. The robber tried to navigate the stairs tripped and fell as the boy leaped over a fence. When the agile little boy got away from them, both robbers escaped, one crashed through a picture window, the other one fled through the golf course knowing that the police would soon be called.
